A few suggestions.

This is my second A-10 and I'm really enjoying it. The first version I got was the Kickstarter project, so it's nice to see the new design features and details added to the new A-10. I few things I noticed is that when the bag is used at the fully extended mode it tends to flop over on both ends due to the length of the bag. or if the straps were placed on the outside hooks, the middle part would fold like a V shape. I think it would be possible to make it shorter but thicker while keeping the volume of the bag the same. On the Kickstarter version, an issue I had was the stitching of the handles. They need to be reinforced better as carrying heavy loads would start to tear the corner of the handle's stitching one at a time. Since the most stressful point would be the inner corners of the stitching of each handle. (maybe that issue has been address in the new one. I'll have to investigate.) I think a way to lock the outside pocket with a simple wire lock or TSA lock would be great. Also another pocket on the outside instead of one would be welcomed as well. A light weight and simple way to be able to carry a water bottle while in backpack mode would be cool. Something that can be hidden and zipped away when not in used. Anyway. Looking forward to what you guys come up with next. Pat

Great bag a bit thin.

I have only used it once and it was great. Only critique would be the bag in general is pretty thin and feels like the bag may end up ripping from the bookbag straps sooner than later.

Absolutely brilliant bag!

I have been travelling full time with this bag for almost 5 months and its absolutely excellent. I have expanded it to its full size and used it as checked luggage, and it is very sturdy and carries a lot of weight (I think the most I have put in it was 18kg). The backpack straps make carrying this amount of weight comfortable, and I just took the straps off when I checked the bag and put the straps inside the bag. All the buckles and zips etc have survived being thrown around fine. I have also used it for weekend trips, for hiking and a day bag and it's great. While I am on this RTW trip I generally have it in the compressed "ball" format clipped onto the outside of my Osprey Farpoint 40 which is my main bag, and use the Piorama as my day bag. The only reason why I am not using just the Piorama for my only bag is that I need to have a seperate day bag. I think that the Piorama would work well as "carry on only long term travel" bag. As a day bag it is great because it can fit a lot of stuff (like a yoga mat, beach towels or even a camping tent) but can also be quite small when needed. It is also great for when you need to expand it unexpectedly eg to put your jacket in, or to carry extra groceries home. Some reviews have mentioned that one downside of using it as a day bag is that laptops fly around and aren't secure. I overcome this by padding the inside of the bag with my jumper, or using a laptop case. If you want a laptop sleeve get the B3. The A10 might not be good for long hikes unless you have the bag fully packed so there isn't room for stuff to jingle around, but I haven't had this problem, I just packed the bag tightly which made for a comfortable hike. But the issue of stuff flying around isn't that much of an issue anyways as it doesn't bother me during normal day to day activities (I don't notice my water bottle, small umbrella, notepad, gym shoes etc flying around), and is totally worth it for the versatility of the bag. When using it as my weekender bag, there are two large inner pockets which I find are big enough to hold all of my electronics in one and toiletries in another, and then I use packing cubes for my clothes. There is also an outer pocket which gives you more organisation. The light colour of the inside bag lining makes looking for things easy (why don't all bags have this feature?!) One of the best things I love about the bag are its safety features. In backpack format the zips face into your back so pickpockets can't access the main part of the bag. In duffel or other formats you can move the zips so they are inside the drawstring section so pickpockets can't easily find where the zips are. And when sitting down at cafes you can clip the backpack strap around your chair so people can't grab the bag and run. Its absolutely brilliant and provides some of the best safety features I have seen all in one bag. I have the black bag which doesn't show dirt or marks that easily. I've only needed to clean it once after being in the Moroccan desert which you would expect for any bag. Overall, I think the bag is excellent. The bag is well designed, has brilliant safety features and an unprecedented level of versatility which make it one of the best bags I've come across.

Great but can be improved

Great… but please but strengthen the seams, especially at the level of the buckles, as for the sails of boat, with overthicknesses: https://www.krone-design.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/voile-ombrage-terrasse-krone-2_w350.jpg

Great travel bag versatile lightweight compact

Bought this as an additional bag to take with me on a south america three month trip. After the bag arrived I was amazed at the small packaging and how light it was. More than anything I was surprised at how bit this thing could get once opened! The quality seems extremely sturdy and its what I read on some of the other reviews. Have been on my trip and very happy with it so. PROS Lightweight roomy very easy to use. Has been able to expand to fit things I purchased on my trip such including some t-shirts shoes and gifts that would not fit anywhere else. The different straps come in handy as I use it as a duffel most of the time but put it on as a backpack when I need to go long distances. The straps are well padded and adjustable. CONS The bag lacks structure. I think all lightweight bags have this same problem. Some other people have also mentioned this problem. The good thing is that it can size down and almost acts like a compression bag so youll never be carrying it in large mode while having it be empty. I guess this is my only complaint. Overall very happy with the bag and how much extra it can expand. Planning to buy another one soon for my husband.
